Boston with Crystalee, Ryan, Lis, and Bryan!

One of my best friends, and roommate, from college, Crystalee, started dating one of Josh's best friend from high school, Ryan! What are the odds! She also just started working for the airlines, so the two of them decided to keep their promise to come visit us and flew out to spend the weekend with us. We showed them around New Haven and then went to Boston on Saturday to meet up with our other roommate Lis! It was great. We had a blast. We started out by walking around the MIT campus on our way to the T. Lis' husband is working on his PhD there. This is his first year so we are excited to have them nearby.
Once downtown we started the freedom trail where we last left off with Lis and Bryan. We went to the grave yard where Benjamin Franklin's parents are buried and Paul Revere! It is really pretty and old. The headstones are all decorated with a skull with wings on top.
Next we visited the church where the Boston Tea Party made their decision to act.
Another church showed us where the Declaration of Independance was first read on a balcony.
And then we saw another church (I know, a lot of churches!) where Paul Revere saw two lanterns hung and began his midnight horseback ride to warn Samuel Adams and John Hancock in Lexington and Concord that the British were coming by way of crossing the Charles River.
We also found time to visit Hays market were we got 3 bundles of asparagus for $1, six heads of broccoli for $1, a pineapple for $2, two avocados for $1.50 and a case of blackberries for $1! Can you believe it! I want to go shopping there again!
We also made our way over to the Italian district and to Mike's Pastry Shop for some famous cannoli! It was my first time and it was yummy!

I can't wait to go again! Thanks Ryan and Crystalee for coming!
